Three community partnerships valued at more than $4.5 million over 10 years represent Kansas Crossing’s commitment to workforce development, education, economic development, and tourism in Southeast Kansas. The partnerships have been awarded to the Southeast Kansas Career and Technical Education Center, Pittsburg State University, and the Crawford County Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Crawford and Cherokee Counties and the city of Pittsburg each receive 1 percent of Kansas Crossing’s annual revenue. The annual economic impact is estimated to be at least $8.5 million in taxes and other economic benefits.
The State of Kansas receives 27 percent of Kansas Crossing’s gaming profits.
