Kansas Supreme Court Rules In Favor of Kansas Crossing Casino + Hotel

Pittsburg, Kan. – Today, the Kansas Supreme Court announced its decision in a case involving the Kansas Crossing Casino for the management rights of the proposed casino in Southeast Kansas. The management contract, which was awarded to Kansas Crossing Casino, L.C., was being disputed in a lawsuit filed by Castle Rock Casino, a competing casino group which lost its bid to build and operate the casino, after hearings conducted by the Kansas Lottery Commission, Kansas Review Board and Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission. The lawsuit sought to cancel the contract awarded to Kansas Crossing Casino.
The court upheld the Lottery Gaming Facility Review Board’s choice of Kansas Crossing’s casino complex near Pittsburg. A full decision from the court can be found at kscourts.org.

The Kansas Crossing Casino opened its doors on March 31st, and will draw 500,000 visitors annually, largely from Missouri and Oklahoma.
